Will MRSA survive in the bed sheets, bath tub and on the toilet seats in the house with open and pus wound?

I am on Bactrim antibiotics for 5 days, doctor drained the pus out, I hope all of it. There is still a hard lump inside, no more pus coming out, wound seems to be sealing now. What to do to get rid off this virus in all parts of the house mentioned above? And how long it is contagious? Will MRSA survive in the bed sheets, bath tub and on the toilet seats in the house with open and pus wound?
Get out your Lysol Antibacterial or the new green products for antibacterial cleaning and clean every are you have, wash the sheets .

Once you are on an antibiotic for 48 hours your chances of being contagious are slim. That doesn't mean you don't have MRSA or are not a carrier, it just means that with the antibiotics in place you are less likely to still be contagious. Ask your doctor about the hard lump- that doesn't seem right. But just ask him, if he doesn't know- keep asking until you get the answers you want. Remember the doctor got up the same way you did this morning. He may have more answers but he is never unapproachable. Good Luck
