I need to wash the bed sheets but need some tips on how to dry them quickly as its raining outside so i cant put them on the line and i dont like using the tumble dryer as it costs a bomb. The airer isnt big enough to hang the sheets over either. How do you dry them??Any tips on how to dry bed sheets when it's raining?
You might think I'm mad suggesting this, someone did to me months ago...and it works! If its raining, and cold, the chances are you will have your heating on. The rads won't fully dry them, as you have to unfold them etc, so, hang them fully open over your doors, or your banister. Granted your house will look terrible with sheets etc hanging over doors, but for one night, over the doors, it works, once your heating is on. But even if not, it may take from the morning, to the following morning. Its brilliant!Any tips on how to dry bed sheets when it's raining?
what i do is i get the sheets fold them in half lenghwise and i hang them over a door, really this works so well, they will soon be dry my mother in law taught me to do this, and its brilliant. And they come off the door looking ironed too.
OOh just noticed that TID has suggested this, see it does work!!!!
I had this problem on the weekend.
Firstly I simply laid it over a few chairs to lightly dry, but as it was getting late I had to do something quickly. I ended up ironing the bed sheets, it took a while but it did work.
use a heater. i used one to dry my shoes after they got wet in the rain and left it over night and they were dry in the morning.
Use hot air dryers as in USA and CANADA and iron them or postpone Your washing of bed sheets till rains stop and sun shine comes in.
If it's cold and wet outside I put folded sheets on the radiators and re-fold them every couple of hours to get every area dry.
Get a girlfriend, she'll do it for you. lol
My GF hangs mine on a dryer rail and then in front of the radiators.
Either: Buy extra bedclothes or don't do the washing when it's going to rain.
spend the cash use the dryer or buy more sheets
