I have king size bed sheets... I have trouble getting them nice and neat when I have to fold them by myself, even laying them on the bed to fold them... any tips on how to make it easier to fold them?Is there an easy way for 1 person to fold large bed sheets?
I live by myself....so I developed a way of doing this. I bought a large portable clothes holder (the white metal ones that you can sit beside your washer and dryer). They are like a portable closet. The top has a shelf. I clothes pin two ends to that shelf, stretch the sheet out and then walk up to meet the two closthes pinned ends. Then I flip it around, repin it and do that same maneuver again. I am sure if you have a door or a section in your laundry room where you could fashion a bungee cord, or a line, it would do the same for you.Is there an easy way for 1 person to fold large bed sheets?
i do the corner/shake method from above on the top sheets, but what about fitted sheets?? I can NEVER get those really nice, so I just roll them up...it looks ok, but i'll be looking forward to other responses :)
fold in half, by pinching the corners together. then you shake it, so you get out the wrinkles, and then fold those corners together, shaking again. you should have it a reasonable size by then, straighten the folds by pulling on the corners. you fold a few more times until it is the size you want. it is the easiest way to do it without 'laying it on the floor' so you dont get anything from the floor on it.
fold it in half first (even though its not straightend out yet) then lay it on the floor (like living floor, wichever is the biggest floor space in the house) then straightin it out. then fold the rest.
